If you have a question about your smart device, we may sometimes ask you to share the device ID. This unique identification number helps us more accurately locate the problem and better serve you. With the device ID, we can provide faster and more targeted solutions.
You can find the device ID in the Calex Smart App. Follow these steps:
- Open the app and navigate to the relevant smart device.
- Tap the settings icon at the top right (this can be an icon of three dots, a pencil or a menu button).
- On the next screen, choose 'Device info'.
- Here you can see the device ID / Virtual ID.
If there is a button 'Copy' is visible, you can use it to copy the ID directly to your clipboard. Is this button not present? Then hold the displayed code for at least one second to copy it. Then you can easily paste the device ID into an email or message.
NOTE: Because not every phone displays the full device ID in the screen we do not recommend taking a screen shot.
