Can I use any lamp outdoors?
Whether or not a lamp can be used outdoors depends on whether it is placed in a mounting or not. All Calex lamps can be used outdoors, provided they are installed in a closed mounting. The question whether the mounting itself is suited to LED lamps depends upon heat dissipation.
Lamps without mounting
If you wish to use the lamps without a protective mounting but with a light shield in the shape of a shelter, lamps with an IP44 symbol suffice.
Lamps without shielding
If you want to use your lamp outdoors without shielding, only light sources with an IP68 symbol suffice.
