When you switch to a new Internet service provider, it often means getting a new Wi-Fi router and, with it, a new network name (SSID) and password. In order for your Calex Smart devices to function properly again, you need to connect them to the new network. Follow these steps:

  1. Write down your new Wi-Fi data
Find the name of your new Wi-Fi network (SSID) and its password. These details are usually on the router or in your new Internet service provider's manual.

  2. Reset your Calex Smart devices
Calex Smart devices must first be reset to connect to a new network. Turn on and reset each device by performing the proper reset procedure, also see these instructions: How do I reset my Calex Smart products?

  3. Open the Calex Smart app and add the devices again
Open the Calex Smart app on your smartphone or tablet and follow the steps to add a new device, also see these instructions: How to connect your smart bulbs/devices to the app

  4. Option: Change Wi-Fi settings in the router
If you have many Calex devices, it may be easier to give the new router the same network name (SSID) and password as your old network. This will automatically reconnect the devices without you having to manually modify each one. Consult your new router's manual for instructions on changing Wi-Fi settings.

  5. Check the connection of your devices
After you add each device again, check that they respond correctly via the Calex Smart app. For example, test turning the lights on and off to see if everything works as it should.

With these steps, your Calex Smart devices will work smoothly again on your new network!
