My device needs to be reconfigured, but I don't know how to put the device in EZ/AP mode.

For most devices that have a reset button (refer to the product manual to find the reset button)

  1. EZ mode:
First, make sure the device is off for more than 10 seconds before turning on the device. Then press the device's reset button for about 5 seconds. Wait a moment until the light or the device starts blinking rapidly. The device is now in EZ mode. You can now pair the Smart device according to EZ mode as prompted in your Smart app.

  2. AP mode:
You don't need to turn off the device, but the light on the smart device should flash rapidly. Then long press the reset button on the device for about 5 seconds. Wait a while until the light starts flashing slowly. The device is now in AP mode. You can now pair the Smart device according to AP mode as prompted in your Smart app.

Note: Cameras and video doorbells must first be removed from the Smart app before they can be reset.

For lighting devices such as smart bulbs:

  1. EZ mode:
First, make sure the lamp is turned off for more than 10 seconds before turning it on. Then turn the lamp on and off (on-off-on-off-on) three times (2 to 3 seconds between each on and off). Wait a moment until the lamp starts blinking rapidly. The lamp is now in EZ mode. You can now pair the lamp according to EZ mode as prompted in your Smart app.

  2. AP mode:
You don't need to turn off the device, but the lamp should flash rapidly. Next, turn on and off the power of the device three times (on-off on-off) (2 to 3 seconds between each on and off). Wait a moment until the lamp begins to flash slowly. The lamp is now in AP mode. You can now pair lamp according to AP mode as prompted in your Smart app.
