I have installed LED lights in two rooms in a basement and I am struggling to get them connected via the app, on powering them up and them flashing the app picks up the signal from all 4 in one room but fails to connect, I have upgraded the Wi-Fi with a mesh system that is also boosted with power line, a TP link system. Any suggestions on why these won’t work
There can be multiple reasons why your lamps are not connecting. The key question is at what point in the pairing process things go wrong, as there could be various causes.
You could try the following steps:
Restart your Wi-Fi router.
Restart your smartphone (the device you are using to pair the lamps).
Ensure your smartphone is connected to the correct 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
Make sure your lamps are receiving a sufficient and stable Wi-Fi signal.
Pair the lamps one by one or in pairs. Do not switch on all the lamps to be paired simultaneously, as this could cause them to all enter pairing mode at the same time.
Make sure you are within the range of 2 to 3 meters of the lamps while pairing.
If you have both a 2.4GHz and a 5GHz Wi-Fi network with the same SSID (Wi-Fi name), temporarily disable the 5GHz Wi-Fi band on your router. Pair your smart lamps, and once the pairing is complete, you can re-enable the 5GHz Wi-Fi band.
Please let me know if you did manage to pair your lights with information.
Thanks, I tried resetting the router and restarting the smartphone and this still didn't work. I have two rooms in a basement both with calex LEDs in, the Wi-Fi signal is showing as full/strong, I have also changed the settings to 2.4GHz. The first was room was previously connected with no issues, the second room then had the new lights fitted but didn't seem to work properly, so I decided to remove all the previosuly connected devices and repair them all so I knew which devices were in each room - on putting them into pairing mode the smart phone picks all the devices up and on then adding them, this takes a while per light but then fails to connect.

Would this mean powering them up one at a time, I can't see how I could them entering pairing mode without disconnecting them as there are 4 in the circuit - When adding them on the smartphone I am only adding one device at a time.
Make sure you are within the range of 2 to 3 meters of the lamps while pairing. Done
Sorry to hear that you still can't connect your lamps. Please check the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi settings of your router, the security mode might be set to WPA3 only:
The lamps need the following settings:
802.11 mode :802.11b/g/n Security mode : WPA/WPA2
In addition, you could try if it helps to temporarily disable the 5GHz band of your Wi-Fi router while pairing your lamps. Then when the lamps are paired you can activate it again.

Would love to hear your findings.
