Adding plug switches to lighting scenes

Peter
Got the app update 2.0.2(international) and when adding lighting scenes I can only select actual smart lamps. I have table lamps switched by plug switches but the app does not allow adding them to the lighting scene. Can this feature be added?

    Hi Peter,

Sorry for the late response, somehow we didn't notice your question.
At this time, it is not yet possible to also use Smart plugs in combination with lamps in a lighting scene. We have noted this as a wish and we will look into this for a next version of the Calex Smart App.

    With kind regards,

    Hi Brian

Any updates on this wish? I would love to have the feature to add plugs to the lighting scene.

    Hi Dex,

At this time, it is still not possible to include smart plugs in lighting scenes. Lighting scenes are primarily intended for lamps. This functionality is on our wishlist, but it is not yet known if or when it will become available.

I have made a smart scene tap-to-run. There it is possible to add plugs. It is a work around but still a toggle switch to add or remove a smart plug from a lighting scene would be nice.

    Hello,

Can you please fix this in the next update?

I now have to manually turn on/off two switches every day.

The lightning scene works perfect, shame that you still cannot put in smart switches.

    Hi Mike,

At the moment, it is unfortunately not possible to add a power plug directly to a Lighting scene.
However, there is a simple workaround available.

You can set the smart plug to automatically switch on or off whenever a specific lamp is turned on or off via your Lighting scene. To do this, you need to create two smart automations:

    1. When the lamp is switched on → switch on the smart plug.
    2. When the lamp is switched off → switch off the smart plug.

This way, your smart plug will automatically follow the status of your Lighting scene.

Please also see this video for an example.

    Brian.
