Connecting led strips
Connected about 8m on to 10m led strip.
White lights work perfectly, although slightly dimmer on the 8m extension. All of the colours and patterns stop at the end of the original 10m.
We have checked the connection, wiped the app and re added the strip to it, and the classic turning it off and back on again. Nothing seems to make it go past the original 10m
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hi Charlotte,
From your message, I understand that you have extended an existing 10-meter LED strip with an additional 8 meters from a different LED strip. Unfortunately, this is not possible with a smart LED strip, as both the software in the module and the chips in the strip are configured for the original length.
Also the included adapter is designed for the original length of the LED strip.
It is possible to shorten the LED strip, but in that case, you need to adjust the new length in the settings of the LED strip in the Calex Smart App.
