When I originally got the app, I was able to add a button for a single light or plug to my home screen on Android.
However, when I now try, I cannot see this option. I can only see two widgets:
* One large widget that shows _all_ scenes
* One large widget that shows _all_ devices
I'm sure there used to be a widget for a _single_ device? Has this been removed? Is there another way to add this functionality?

Hi Paul,
It is still possible to add your devices separately to the home screen. Below I have placed some screenshots which show the necessary steps, hopefully this will help you:
After you saved your selected devices (step 5) they should be available on your home screen.
I would love to hear from you if you were be able to add your devices to your home screen with these instructions.
With kind regards,
Brian - Calex Community Team
Hi Brian,
There is some confusion here. I do not mean the "home screen" with the Calex app. I mean the Home screen _of the Android device itself_.
The following shows three icons - one is the Calex app, the other two icons directly access a light and smart plug respectively.
I did this with a previous iteration of the app. But now I find I cannot do it.
Hi Paul,
Indeed, I had not understood this correctly from your first report.
I have to go and figure this one out, give me some time and I'll get back to you here a.s.a.p.
Hi Paul,
Adding separate Smart devices to your Android Home screen is still possible. However, it is important that the Calex Smart app has permissions for this from the settings within Android.
The Calex Smart app must have permissions to add shortcuts to the home screen, see the example in the screenshot below. Note that this setting may vary by smartphone brand and Android version:
Once these permissions are granted, you can then have the shortcut added to your Home screen from your Smart device's settings screen, see screenshots below:
Please let me know if you succeeded using these instructions.
Hi there,

I finally found out through trial and error how to do this. Nothing to do with permissions.
1. In the Calex app, view the device. At the top right is the "Menu" option:
2. Select "Menu". There is now a page. Scroll all the way down to the bottom, where there is an "Add to Home Screen" button.

Hi Paul,
Good that you have now found it yourself.
That is indeed the correct way, as I had reported to you in my previous response ;-)
