3D Models Smart Video Doorbell

  • Updated

We provide 3D models of mounting parts and accessories for various Calex Smart Video Doorbells. The files are available in .STL format and can be used to print the relevant part yourself using a 3D printer.

Don't have a 3D printer of your own? In that case, you can, for example, have someone with a 3D printer print the file for you or use an online 3D printing service.

Please note

Before downloading, always check to make sure the 3D model is compatible with your specific doorbell model. The shape and mounting points may vary by model.

How does it work?

  1. Download the desired .STL file.
  2. Open the file in your 3D printer's slicing software.
  3. Choose a suitable filament and the desired print settings.
  4. Print the part and check that it fits properly before assembly.

Recommended filament

Since the mounting components of a video doorbell are typically installed outdoors, we recommend using a material that is highly resistant to temperature, moisture, and UV radiation.

PETG – recommended

PETG is strong, somewhat flexible, and highly resistant to moisture and temperature fluctuations. This makes it a good choice for most assembly parts.

ASA – ideal for long-term outdoor use

ASA offers good UV and weather resistance, making it ideal for parts that are permanently installed outdoors. However, ASA generally places higher demands on the 3D printer and the printing environment.

PLA – less suitable

PLA is easy to print, but it is less resistant to heat, UV radiation, and prolonged exposure to the elements. For permanent outdoor installations, we therefore recommend PETG or ASA..

General Printing Tips

  • For outdoor installation, use PETG or ASA whenever possible.
  • A layer height of approximately 0.20 mm is suitable for most parts.
  • Use enough exterior walls to ensure a sturdy structure.
  • Check the orientation of the part in the slicer to minimize stress in the direction of the print layers as much as possible.
  • Print settings may vary depending on the printer, filament, and part.

Important

The 3D models provided are intended as a supplementary service. The final result depends on factors such as the 3D printer used, the filament, the slicer settings, and the method used to print the part.

Always check a printed part for dimensions, sturdiness, and any printing errors before use. Use the part only if it is possible to assemble the product safely and correctly.
